The maintance people put sunscreen film on our classroom windows this weekend. It made a big difference in our classroom today! The sun shone in but we could see! Wonderful!

August is Almost here!

Where has the summer gone. My classroom is empty and the room is silent. Watch while it changes, getting ready for a new group of children. Will it be ready? Will I be ready? What will a new year hold for us all? Excitement and learning that is for sure. Hope you will follow us as we learn and grow.

We are beginning our study of plants. We looked at the inside of bean seeds with our magnifying glasses. Can plants grow without soil? What do they need to grow? We also have a Venus Flytrap. Does it really eat meat?

Changes

It seems like all we do is say hello and good-bye. Good-bye to Jeffrey who moved to Liberty Elementary and hello to both Elijah and Tatyana who have recently joined us. We are still having cold weather here in Southern Georgia which is a little strange but the weather is promising to become warmer and more Spring like the rest of this week. We certainly hope so. We are beginning a unit on Plants. Yesterday we looked at seeds of all kinds. Our favorite was the coconut. Some of us found it tasty and others didn't. But however it tasted we decided it was very hard!!
